Keeping their tradition of not falling back on any condition that arises during the course of the match, they can be considered to be very dangerous. The performance of the team in the last year has been surprising for everyone. They are expected to be even better in this season. The Ottawa Senators are the team that has the last chance of putting their hands on the cup. Their bad form in the previous years is a matter of concern, but this could motivate them into showing a good show this time. Another good show this year could help the current champs, the Carolina Hurricanes in winning the cup this year as well.

The team to watch this year has to be undoubtedly, the San Jose Sharks. They missed the chance to play the Stanley Cup finals last year, by a close margin.
